Remote Control Problems
My Remote Control will not change the channel.
         • Verify that the remote control is in “Cable” mode.

         • Aim the remote control directly at the Digital or DVR box receiver front panel,
           not the TV or VCR.

         • Check batteries. Install new batteries if needed

         • Make sure the power light on your receiver is on

         • Go up to the receiver and try changing the channels without using the
Remote Control. If the channel changes, there is a problem with the
           remote control.

         • That does not work, refer to the remote control setup instructions, and make
sure you have the correct codes programmed for your equipment.

         • Make sure nothing is blocking the front of the receiver (e.g., furniture).

         • Make sure you are operating the Remote Control within 20 feet of the receiver.

Remote doesn’t respond to the set-top box when I press the keys.
         • If power is on, make sure your remote is in the Cable mode.
Press the CABLE button on the remote.

Nothing happens when the MENU button is pushed, but I can change the channel
up and down.

         • If the terminal was just installed, it takes approximately 15-30 minutes for
i-Guide to be downloaded to the set-top. If after 15-30 minutes nothing
happens, unplug the terminal, plug it back in and wait another 15-30 minutes.
