Internet Connection - Basic Troubleshooting
Having trouble connecting to the Internet, try some of the troubleshooting steps below:
Connections:
1. Check that all cables attached to the router and computer are secure and finger tight
2. Turn off all Computers by going to the start . Click Shut down. Click okay

3. Completely shut down unplug Computer from the wall outlet.
4. Disconnect the power cord from the cable modem. Make sure you are unplugging
the modem power cord and not the round coaxial cable that has a threaded screw tip.

5. Unplug the wireless router from the wall outlet. If you dont have a router, disregard
this step.

6. After waiting about 30-60 seconds, plug back in the modem.
7. Plug the modem in and turn it on. Wait minutes or two.
8. Turn on the wireless router. Wait one minute.
9. Turn on the computer.
10. Open your internet browser. (Internet explore, FireFox)
11. Go to a website (www.tcaexpress.com) to verify good connection.
